The $200 million WarHorse Casino Lincoln, a partnership between the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska and the Nebraska Horsemen's Benevolent and Protective Association (HBPA), opened the permanent casino at the Lincoln Racecourse in the state's capital city. on November 4, 2024. The 26,000 sq ft casino features over 800 slots and progressives, 10 table games including Blackjack, Mini Baccarat and Roulette, a sportsbook, and simulcast horse racing. There is also an outdoor gaming area for smokers. 

Construction continues on a 220-room hotel, steakhouse restaurant, and event center, expected to open in 2025. The casino is also expected to expand again and add about 500 more tables and slots in 2025.

Ground was broken on July 12th, 2022, on the WarHorse Casino at Lincoln Race Course. The approximately $200 million project is expected to be completed in 18 months and will include a 200-room hotel, several new dining options, including a high-end steakhouse, sports bar, café, and more than 1,300 slot machines, 20 gaming tables, a sportsbook and both live and simulcast horse racing and a five-story parking garage. 

WarHorse Gaming, a subsidiary of the Winnebago Tribe’s Ho-Chunk Inc., has partnered with the Nebraska Horsemen’s Benevolent and Protective Association to operate casino gambling at the Lincoln Race Course. The $200 million casino resort to be located along West Denton Road near U.S. 77 in southwest Lincoln, will reportedly feature 165,000 square feet of space, as well as 1,500 stalls in an adjacent parking structure.

The existing Lincoln Race Course is home to a newly completed ⅞-mile horse track, as well as Winner’s Circle Sports Bar and Grille, a full-service restaurant and bar where visitors can eat and drink while watching sporting events and wager on live simulcast horse racing. There is also an indoor smoking lounge. 

*WarHorse is also working on casinos planned for Horsemen's Park in Omaha and at the former Atokad Downs in South Sioux City, which was reportedly purchased by the Ho-Chunk Winnebago Tribe in 2012 for $30 million.
